Amiga 500 Gotek unit is a great replacement for your failing Amiga 500 or Amiga 500 Plus floppy drive or you wish to simply replace it with a Gotek drive. These are plug and play in that you simply remove your existing Amiga 1200/600 floppy drive and replace it with this unit (you use your existing bracket). 2 new screws will also be supplied to secure it to the Amiga 500. You will need a USB memory stick (NOT included) with your loaded ADF files but we offer an option for a pre-configured USB stick below. This Gotek will fit:

What are Amiga ADF files?

ADF files is the standard Amiga Disk Format for floppy disk images. no different to Sega or Nintendo roms, ADF’s are images of Amiga floppy disk games. Not only could you have access to a huge back catalogue of retro Amiga games, but there are still brand new games being released today, for example: Raid over Moscow or Bridge Strike these are all available as ADF files. What’s included?
  • Professionally refurbished Amiga A500 Unit (excluding mouse and PSU), these are options that can be added.
  What is Refurbished? Each Commodore Amiga A500 mainboard is professionally recapped and deep cleaned using a Ultrasonic cleaner, bathed using deionised water and professional grade PCB/Flux cleaning solution. Once completed it is dried and a full diagnostic test is completed. Each unit is thoroughly inspected make sure the Amiga 500 worked as it did when it first came from the factory back in the 1980’s. Case and keyboard is stripped and cleaned but due to age may show signs of use and age. It can take up to 21 working days for machines to be completed due to the high volume of orders, please take this into account when ordering.   What is Ultrasonic cleaning? Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses ultrasound (usually from 20–40 kHz) to agitate a fluid, this fluid is made up for this specific job which is to clean and remove any flux left over from recapping. We use deionised water (deionized depending where your from) and professional grade PCB cleaner. ScanPlus ECS is a internal Scandoubler for the Amiga 500, 500 Plus and Amiga 2000 (not Amiga 3000). The advantage of the internal ScanPlus ECS is that it will allow you to connect to a standard VGA monitor weather that be a traditional (best) CRT experience or a flat screen monitor or TV with VGA connector. The primary PCB sits where the Denise sits, and the Denise chip sits in the ScanPlus ECS PCB (8362 (OCS) and 8373 (ECS) Denise are supported selectable with a jumper). Amiga 500 Plus mainboard remake AKA Raemixx500 is a motherboard clone of the classic A500 Plus REV 8.1A made by SukkoPera and not to be confused with the A500 ++ (A500 Plus Plus). The Raemixx500 is a good alternative to replace your existing broken A500 Plus board using your custom chips or one that is plug and play and soaked tested with all the custom chips included. The Raemixx500 board has had a few improvements added compared to the original A500 Plus board:
  • Kickstart Switches - You can burn your Eproms and have 2 different kickstarts and use the jumpers or add switches to switch between kickstarts
  • DF0 Switch - Again becoming a must for Amiga owners to have both a internal Gotek and external drive or vice-versa, best of both worlds!This is a fully built A500 Plus Raemixx500 board with all the custom chips and is plug and play, simply add your own kickstart rom or add one of the options below.
