I bought the A608 Mini 8Mb or 4Mb Fast Ram Expansion For Amiga 600 and it works like a charm.
I’m using it for whdload and filetransfers via pcmcia. Kind of cumbersome to open the case and move the jumper each time I want to make a file transfer though.
Is it possible to not use a jumper for the switching and instead put a cable from the card that runs to the outside of the amiga?
Sure you can add a rocker switch that plugs in to the A800 8Mb mini on the PCMCIA jumper which will switch between 4Mb or 8Mb. the switch is on a wire so can be accessed easily via the trapdoor or drill a small hole for it to be in a fixed place on the case around the side for example.
