Atari 520 STF / 1040 STF recapping service including recapping of STF PSU, all board revisions. This service includes both recapping of the Atari STF motherboard and PSU.
- Check of the STF motherboard and PSU before recapping is begun.
- Removal of existing capacitors.
- Clean-up and preparation of area.
- Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET capacitors.
- Retest (Video, Audio, Floppy Boot) using diagnostic cartridge.
We also provide a recapping service for the Atari 520 STe / 1040 STE / 4160 STE
What do you need to send?
All we need is the mainboard and PSU, so please only send the board and PSU in its metal shielding. If however you choose to send the whole unit, there is an option to do that also via the choices below.

Overseas orders are very welcome and we are able to provide you return shipping costs at the checkout. You will receive an email within 24hrs with the shipping cost and you can then proceed with the order by clicking on the 'Complete your order' within the email. Sega Game Gear Recapping Service
Sega Game Gear recapping service for all board revisions. This service is a maintinace service and not a repair service however recapping can bring back to life your Sega Game Gear if it shows the following symptoms:
- No or distorted sound
- Unresponsive Game Gear when powered on
- Dull or no image
- Testing of Sega Game Gear via power socket or batteries.
- Removal of all old surface and through hole capacitors.
- Any leakage cleaned up and prep.
- Replacement Electrolytic capacitors soldered in place (Power board, Sound Board and Main board)
- Final testing and video taken of unit working.
Please note recapping will not:
- Dead screen pixels.
- Vertical screen lines.
- Unexpected shut downs.
Display issues are down to a failing/dead display, the only solution is to install a replacement upgraded display.
NOTE: This is not a repair service. If a recap is performed and issues are still apparent, the recap service is still chargeable.

Macintosh Colour Classic II Recapping Service (Standard)
Macintosh Colour Classic II recapping service (Standard), all board revisions, all electrolytic capacitors are replaced. The Macintosh Colour Classic logic board is recapped using high quality capacitors. NOTE this is NOT a repair service, the Macintosh Colour Classic needs to be in working order.
- Removal of existing capacitors.
- Clean-up and preparation of area.
- Replace all surface mount capacitors.
Atari Lynx Recapping Service MK 1 or MK 2
Atari Lynx recapping service for either the Atari Lynx MK 1 or Atari Lynx MK 2 (AKA Atari Lynx 2).
Recapping service includes replacing all electrolytic capacitors of which there are approx 20 depending on the version.
